Brief Biography

South West Washington Kokondo Karate is taught by Sensi David L. Clevenger. Mr. Clevenger has studied and practiced  Kokondo Karate-Jitsu for approximately 15 years.  He began in the study of Jukido, which is the JuJitsu division of Kokondo where he reached the rank of Gokyu, and continues to practice the Jukido disciplines at his present rank in Karate.

 

Mr Clevenger was awarded the rank of Sandan ( 3rd Degree Black ) in August of 2006 at the International Seminar held in Seattle. He has been teaching Karate for the past ten years.  First as an assistant to Sensei, Fifth Dan, Master David Peterson in Seattle.  He moved to the Centralia area in 2000 and started South West Washington Kokondo Martial Arts dojo.

 

Mr Clevenger was born in October of 1943 in South Bend Indiana.  He retired from the Boeing Company after 35 years of service. He holds a B.S.E. E.
